OVERWHELMING JOY !

Greetings to you in the matchless name of our Lord JESUS CHRIST.

First of all, we wish to thank with gratitude each one of you for taking a moment to pray for HEAVEN’S CULTURE School of Worship 2012. We take this opportunity to give you the report so that you would join us in praising God for all the wondrous things HE has done amidst us.

School of Worship had been an extra-ordinary glorious journey. We had 32 students this year coming from places like Hyderabad, Kurnool, Tirupathi, Vijayawada and other parts of Guntur and Krishna Districts.

From DAY 1, the hunger and thirst these students have shown is inexplicable. We believe that God could not contain himself in heaven and visited us, as we witnessed His glorious presence each and every day encountering the students in a new dimension they have never known before. They have been filled with “new wine” which is tastier than the old that can influence this generation with new level of love and intimacy for GOD.

This 2012 batch has been prophesied to be an army that is extremely passionate for His presence and will move in purity and holiness and do marvelous things for GOD in this generation. Revelatory teachings by many precious men of God have greatly impacted their lives.

We heartfully thank Pastor Cleophas David, Dr.David Rayi, Pastor Danny Modi, Pastor Priji Varghese, Bro.Daniel Kiran and Bro.Kripal Mohan for spending their valuable time with the students and sharing the heart of GOD. We also express our deep gratitude towards the church who sowed into the lives of the students in prayer and financially to make the dream of God (rebuilding the tabernacle of David) come true.

We are still excited to see what more God is about to do with these 32 precious children of God. We beyond doubt believe that greater things are yet to come, and greater things are still to be done. We are not gonna give up until He has established what He has purposed to do.

We also thank Bro.Tychicus, Bro.Stephen, Sis.Anindita and Sis.Indira who has been the helping hand in making this school possible in such a great way. The whole team is blessed by the guidance of Pastor Sujatha Roy, Sr.Pastor – New Covenant Worship Centre.

Thank you one and all. All we need is your prayers to keep us focussed and be faithful towards our call for GOD. See you again folks!!

In the service of the Most High

Left Brain Vs’ Right Brain Praying

Roger. W. Sperry, an American psycho biologist, discovered and developed the concept of two brains- LEFT BRAIN – RIGHT BRAIN theory. He successfully explained and proved people the exact functioning of brain. It was found out that human brain has two different ways of thinking because of two unlike brain. The right side of the brain concentrates more on visual and images while, the left side of the brain deals with the verbal power. In more simple words, people thinking from left side of the brain are more logistical, objective, and methodical. While, the right brained people are more creative, subjective, and thoughtful.

The right side of the brain is regarded as wonderful on creative tasks.

Right brained people can very easily perform task like expressing emotions, playing musical instruments, recognizing images, faces, and colors, revealing strong intuitive, can read emotions and command on creativity.

And the left brained are amazing in logical thinking, questioning, language and numerical subjects, and crucial thinking. There are lot of difference between right brain and left brain.

The right brained generally has specific characteristics such as:

– Concentrates more on images and visual

– Act according to intuition

– Use mind camera to remember things or write down things

– Checks the whole image and then turn to details

– Lack of organization

– Randomly makes plans

– Difficulty in finding spelling or collecting word

– No punctuality

– Like more to touch and feel

– Never follows instruction before handling any equipment

– Express with hand gestures

– Very creative brain

– Question the rules

While, left brained people possess different characteristics like as:

– More inclination towards verbal, symbols, numbers, and words

– Act according to analytical thinking

– Try to remember with the help of words or names instead of using faces and images

– Makes logical decision

– Performs the task step by step

– Very much organized

– Follow their planning and schedules

– Abide by rules and regulations

– Highly punctual

– Grasp mathematical formulas and numbers easily

– Like to observe

– Avoids the use of hand gestures

– Practical and logistic

Most of our education and our daily tasks exercise the left hemisphere of our brains. We have been taught to think, calculate, and analyze using our left brain. The right side of our brain is also ours to use. When we use our whole brain we move into the creative activity of our right brain. Artistic expression, music, and dance exercise the right brain. When we see the big picture and make decisions intuitively we are using the right hemisphere of our brains.

Prayer can be merely a left brain activity. As we verbalize our requests to God, as we develop theological statements, as we study the Bible, we use our left brains. Prayer can also become a wonderful use of our right brains. When we are still before the mystery of God, when we listen for what God is saying to us, when we allow the Spirit to move us intuitively we are using the right hemisphere of our brains.

So much of the religion we practice is left-brained. We listen to intellectual sermons; we read theological books; we learn the teachings of Scripture. But when we allow ourselves to be deeply moved, when our love of God captures our inner being, and when we are engaged in the compassion of Christ, we are using the right half of the brain God has given us.

To use the mind God has given us we should use both sides of our brain. Then, more than words, our prayers become a deeply felt communion with God. Prayer is to love God with mind and heart, body and soul.

School of Worship

To worship God is to express our love and awe of who He is. In Isaiah 66:1 God says “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.” He is the Creator of the universe and everything in it, which includes little ones like me and you. How wonderful and amazing is that!

WORSHIP is what God is all about. Worship should matter to us simply because it matters to God. And worship matters to God because He knows He is worthy. I know that does not sound too persuasive in our me-centered culture, but it is true. Worship does not begin with us. Worship begins and ends with God. And God is worthy of all praise, from all people, for all time.

God is the center of everything that exists. He alone is the Creator. Sustainer. Originator. Life Giver. Beauty Maker. That’s why every glimpse into God’s presence throughout the pages of His Word affirms that God dwells in endless praise.

Notice the angel host of Revelation, never ceasing to say, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come” (Revelation 4:8). Never do they stop. Day and night they proclaim, always affirming His infinite worth. And “the heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands” (Psalm 19:1). Why? Because that’s what they were created to do, day after day to proclaim that He is huge, All-powerful, Glorious, Limitless Beyond our wildest imagination.

And you know what’s really wild? This massive God, who has never known any shortage of worship, wants to be worshiped…by you. Wow….. isn’t that really amazing. It’s not that He needs any more worship to be worthy. It’s not that God needs our worship–but that He wants it. He wants it because He deserves it. And He commands it because to do so is the most loving thing we can possibly do.

In the days where ‘worship’ is turned down to be another form of music, we realize the fact that worship is not an art but a HEART THING. Kathryn Scott says, “I think that anywhere there are hearts turned to God – that are willing to be transparent and vulnerable – that’s where there is still vibrant worship.” It might look different in different contexts, but it’s still the type of worship the Father is looking for. Along the way, the melodies will change, and the lyrics depict different aspects of God … but the vibrancy is all to do with what is going on in changed lives.

SCHOOL OF WORSHIP is a place that prepares a generation to become passionate worshipers of the Most High God. It’s all about preparing a generation that is deeply in love with God, who out of their deeper intimacy and relation with God pours out all the love as an expression of worship.

Started in 2009, the school now selects only 50 youngsters from all over the nation to build them up in various areas of their spiritual and personal life, preparing them to be a people who shall worship Him in the Most Holy presence. Some of the topics that are taught in the school include

LENT – a time of repentance & renewal

WHAT IS LENT?

The term Lent comes from an Old English word meaning “spring,” the time of “lengthening of days.” During Lent we begin to see new plant and animal life as the earth emerges from winter and moves toward another fruitful summer season. As the earth appears to awaken and bring forth new life, we can, through our observance of Lent, awaken to new spiritual awareness as well.

Lent may have begun in about the 4th century of the Common Era as a time of preparation of Christian converts for baptism at Easter time. Over time, Lent evolved into a time of fasting (abstaining from eating or following an austere, usually meatless regimen) and prayer that the entire Christian church observed as part of its preparation for Easter. Some Christian churches continue to observe Lent and some do not. Lenten practices vary, but usually include some form of self-discipline.

The Lenten observance in Christian churches of the Western world begins on Ash Wednesday. Lent is said to be a 40-day season, but Sundays are not included in the 40 days of Lent. So the actual time between Ash Wednesday and Easter is 46 days. In 2012, Ash Wednesday is to be observed on February 22 and Easter is observed on April 8. The Lenten season concludes with Holy Week, the seven-day period immediately preceding Easter. Holy Week includes Palm Sunday, commemorating Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Jesus’ Last Supper with his 12 disciples, Good Friday, commemorating Jesus’ crucifixion and death.

IS LENT BASED ON THE BIBLE?

Lent has no basis in the Bible. It is a tradition that originated in the Christian church. The Bible does include stories of 40-day (for example, Jesus’ temptations in the wilderness) and even 40-year (for example, the Hebrews’ time in the wilderness after leaving Egypt) “times of preparation,” but nothing in the Bible is directly related to the season of Lent.

One interesting fact is that, the number 40 is a special number in the Bible. It signifies preparation for something special:

The rain lasted for 40 days in the mighty flood during the days of Noah (Gen 7:17)
Moses stayed on the Mount Sinai 40 days (Ex 24:18)
Jonah gave the people of Nineveh 40 days to repent (Jon 3:4)
Jesus, before starting his ministry, spent 40 days in the desert in prayer and fasting (Matt 4:2)

THE JOURNEY OF LENT

For us, the journey begins on Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Lent is a way to recall a larger story than just celebration. It is a way to face the reality of the consequences of sin and the terrible toll it takes on the world. Lent calls us to examine our own lives with the prayer, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me (Psa 139:23-24).

The journey through Lent is a way to places ourselves before God humbled, bringing in our hands no price whereby we can ourselves purchase our salvation. It is a way to confess our total inadequacy before God, to strip ourselves bare of all pretenses to righteousness, to come before God in dust and ashes. It is a way to empty ourselves of our false pride, of our rationalizations that prevent us from seeing ourselves as needy creatures, of our external piety that blinds us to the beam in our own eyes.

Through prayer that gives up self, we seek to open ourselves up before God, and to hear anew the call “Come unto me!” We seek to recognize and respond afresh to God’s presence in our lives and in our world. We seek to place our needs, our fears, our failures, our hopes, our very lives in God’s hands, again. And we seek by abandoning ourselves in Jesus’ death to recognize again who God is, to allow His transforming grace to work in us once more.

The celebration begins in ashes. And it journeys through darkness. It is a spiritual pilgrimage that I am convinced we must all make, one way or the other, for genuine spiritual renewal to come.

The passage in 2 Chronicles 7:14 is quoted a lot in connection with prayer:  “. . .if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” This usually is quoted in the context of wanting revival or renewal in the church. The prayer is usually interpreted as intercessory prayer for others, since we too easily assume that any problem lies with someone else. Yet a careful reading of the passage will reveal that the prayer that is called for here is not intercessory prayer for others; it is penitential prayer for us. It is not to call for others to repent; it is a call for us, God’s people, to repent. It is our land that needs healed, it is our wicked ways from which we need to turn, we are the ones who need to seek God’s face.

Perhaps during the Lenten season we should stop praying for others as if we were virtuous enough to do so. Perhaps we should take off our righteous robes just long enough during these 40 days to put ashes on our own heads, to come before God with a new humility that is willing to confess, “Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner.” May be we should be willing to prostrate ourselves before God and plead, “Lord, in my hand no price I bring; simply to the cross I cling.” That might put us in a position to hear God in ways that we have not heard Him in a long time. And it may be the beginning of that healing for which we have so longed.

O Lord, begin with me!  Here!!  Now!!!

INFLAME 2012 – Prophetic Worship Conference

Hi Friends!

It gives us so much pleasure to meet you all again this way after DOWNPOUR 2012. Hope you are guided by God in all the areas of life and walking with GOD in an unbroken communion with HIM.

This time we do come with a much more exciting news. And it is all about INFLAME – a one day prophetic worship conference on 17th April 2012, here in Vijayawada again. Now go ahead to have a clear idea of what it is!

Worshiping God in a prophetic way can change the heart of the worshiper.

Samuel said the following to Saul about a supernatural worship experience: “You will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with a stringed instrument, a tambourine, a flute, and a harp before them; and they will be prophesying. Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you and you will prophesy with them and you will be turned into another man.” (I Samuel 10: 5-6).This passage of scripture is a picture of prophetic worship as well as a demonstration of the power that is released through the prophetic.

Likewise, when a group of believers worship in Spirit and in truth, by the direction and leading of the Holy Spirit, we enter into a supernatural exchange with the Lord. Our hearts open to Him and we are able to receive and experience the transforming work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts.

Prophetic worship is more than just singing and making music; during prophetic worship, intercession is offered, spiritual warfare is waged, prophetic power is released, anointed sounds are produced and creative words are spoken and sent forth. Glory, life, light, and spirit are transmitted. The power of prophetic worship is fully experienced when we as worshipers come together in the unity of the Spirit, with an open heart and a willingness to completely offer our praise to him.

Friends! We at HEAVEN’S CULTURE take this humble opportunity to announce about INFLAME – one day prophetic worship conference in VIJAYAWADA, Andhra Pradesh. We have two precious guests, Lillis Boyer and Sylvia Deall from abroad who has been moving in the gift of PROPHETIC WORSHIP for quiet a long time.

She flows in a prophetic, revelatory and teaching gifting, and has ministers in personal prophetic ministry, through music/worship leading, writing, and her art. She is on staff with the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, which is a part of the New Apostolic Reformation movement.IHOP is most well-known for its daily prayer meetings based on its “harp and bowl” worship model that are held 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

SYLVIA DEALL is a childrens pastor, and has a gifting with teaching children to worship and also training childrens workers to teach the children to move in the gifts of the spirit, and hearing God.She is also into the ministry of prophetic flags and banners.

We strongly believe that this would be an wonderful opportunity to take the worship culture in our churches to another level piercing into the realms of the prophetic and the supernatural. As the conference is limited to one day, on the 17th APRIL 2012, we highly recommend to make your opportunity to attend this. Don’t miss this.
